How Does Botox Work?

When botulinum toxin is injected, it blocks certain nerve signals that make muscles contract. The muscles relax, reducing unwanted wrinkles. They're also used to treat neck spasms, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and help prevent migraine.

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

15 minutes.

When Do The Results Appear?

You’ll start noticing the Botox results after around 7-10 days, with continued improvements for up to 2 weeks. Results last for 4-6 months, following which you’ll need a maintenance treatment.

What Is The Recovery Process After Treatment?

Botox treatments don’t involve extended recovery — most patients resume their daily activities immediately. Avoid touching, rubbing, or lying on the treated areas for 24-48 hours to prevent the toxin from spreading. Strenuous exercise, saunas, and direct exposure to sunlight should also be avoided for a day.

Who's The Ideal Botox Candidate?

  • Healthy adults aged 18 and above
  • Have mild to moderate dynamic wrinkles (crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead furrows)
  • Seeking non-surgical, temporary facial rejuvenation
  • Candidates should have no history of neuromuscular disorders
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can It Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Yes, Botox can be effectively combined with other cosmetic treatments to create a more comprehensive, youthful effect. Commonly combined treatments include:

  • Dermal fillers
  • Microneedling / RF Microneedling
  • Chemical peels
  • Laser treatments
  • Skin Boosters
